Names you need to know.
Bureau of Cannabis Control (BCC)- Is the lead agency that is responsible for licensing distributors, retailers, micro-businesses and testing labs.
Manufactured Cannabis Safety Branch - is responsible for regulating edibles for medical and non-medical use.
CalCannabis Cultivation Licensing - is regulating cultivators and tracking the movement of cannabis through the supply and distribution chains.
Licenses are not currently being issued.
Temporary licenses may be released on January 1, 2018, but it's recommended you read the following document, or hire attorneys that have thoroughly reviewed them all.

Temporary Licenses
Temporary licenses are set to release on January 1, 2018 for a period of 120 days. It's advised to contact an attorney to help obtain this license around the beginning of the year.

Taxes and Seller's Permits
Cannabis cultivators, processors, manufacturers, retailers, micro-businesses, and distributors making sales are required to obtain and maintain a seller’s permit before applying for a license with any of the above departments.
New Taxes
1. 15% excise tax on all purchases of cannabis products.
2. Cultivation tax to all cultivators depending on the cannabis type.
